Alpha Mu Collegiate Achievements
K
appa Alpha Theta collegians excel in many areas, but they
are especially proud of their academic excellence, leadership
throughout campus, philanthropic endeavors, and service to the community.
The depth of the chapter is furthered by the diversity of majors that members
pursue and the many activities that augment their study.
PHILANTHROPY
Each semester the chapter hosts a philanthropic event at the chapter house
allowing family, friends, and alumnae, as well as campus and community
members, to take part. Flapjacks & Quarterbacks takes place in the fall,
which includes an all-night pancake dinner and a flag-football tournament.
In the spring of 2015 the chapter hosted CASA Carnival, a late night
dinner at the house, followed the next day by Bump, Set, Kite, their annual
volleyball tournament, which supported the Heart of Missouri CASA and
Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation.
SCHOLARSHIP
Alpha Mu has developed strong academic programming to assist members
in ranking within the top three chapters in overall grade point average since
1994—holding first place all but one semester.
• In 2010 Alpha Mu received the national organization's highest award, the
Founder's Cup. The chapter has won this three times in chapter history,
and only two other chapters have won it more than twice.
• Allison Schniticker '11 named 2014 Homecoming queen
• Casey Gergen '11 awarded 2014 PHA Outstanding Chapter President
