Edward Widmayer Jr. '46 (A668) is 89 years
old, and has been married to Ellen for 65 years.
He has traveled to each continent except Australia,
and was especially fond of being part of the '48
and the London Olympics with the lacrosse team.
Ed suffered a stroke in 2013 and is living at home
in Bellevue, Wash., with a care service and his

George T. Hebbel '50 (A724) retired from Al-
lied Chemical in 1987 and lives in Wilmington,
Del. He's having a hard time walking and fighting
COPD. He reminisces about his Theta Xi memo-
ries, including various parties and playing the

Thomas H. Lavin '50 (A735) earned his BME
in 1951 and worked as a USAF meteorologist
from 1951 until 1957. He worked in a variety
of manufacturing and engineering jobs for Ray-
theon Co. in Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
Connecticut, and Whales, U.K., until he retired
in Seabrook Island, S.C., in 1988.
Joseph Freitag Jr. '53 (A860) lives in Rancho
Palos Verdes, Calif. He has a small aerospace
consulting business with a few clients provid-
ing strategy consulting in diversification to major

C. Lloyd Bauer '55 (A826) and his wife, Janet,
attended the sesquicentennial celebration of the
founding of the Alpha Chapter in April 2014. To-
gether they had a great time attending numerous
chapter events and enjoyed and meeting Theta
Xi brothers, old and new. Lloyd and Janet live

John P. Caruso '58 (A913) retired in 2011 and
spends his time singing and performing at various
functions. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Asbury

John C. Schulz '58 (A899) lives in Riverside,
Calif., with his wife, Kathleen. He is involved in
many activities and is the secretary of the board
of the annual Measurement Science Conference
and serves on the executive committee of local
Amer Society of Quality. John would love to re-

Gary F. Peterson '62 (A964) meets at least
once a year with Bill Gutheim '63 (A982), Bob
Nilsson '63 (A984), and John Van Gelder '64
(A999). Gary and his wife, Mary Anne, live in

John M. Van Gelder '64 (A999) and his wife,
Lucy, took a 105-day cruise around the world
January through May. In June they took their chil-
dren and grandchildren on a seven-day rafting trip
on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.

J. Richard Gordon '65 (A1024) looks for-
ward to being fully retired this year and at-
tending the 50th reunion at RPI. Rick and his
wife, Suzi, have homes in Florida and Maine
and enjoy traveling to Washington, Texas,
and Connecticut to visit their grandchildren.

William P. Vrooman '66 (A1029) lives in St.
Petersburg, Fla., with his wife, Laura. Since retir-
ing in 2009, William enjoys many outdoor activi-
ties, some of which include fishing, hunting, and

Kenneth A. Boyd '69 (A1083) lives in Eagle
River, Ark., with his wife, Christine. Kenneth is
the owner of Ken Boyd, LLC., where he has been
working on an oil patch for the last 36 years.
Kenneth H. Bradley III '88 (A1264) is having a
blast working in the gaming industry as the direc-
tor of engineering. He lives in Campbell, Calif.,
and is still playing volleyball and disc golf often.

caddie. Adam is at UNR and Julie is having fun in

Anthony J. Fiory II '97 (A1408) welcomed his
third son to the family in April 2014. He and his
wife, Cherilyn, and their three sons live in Wayne,
Pa., where A.J. works as a senior engineer for
