T
he annual Alumni and Volunteer Corporation (AVC) meeting
took place in Gainesville April 11. Sixteen brothers attended in
person while five others joined by conference call.
Also attending were four representatives from SigEp National
Headquarters, including the two young men who will be in-residence
leaders as the recolonization process begins in the spring of 2016. See
their full story on page 4.
Bylaw revisions, prepared by brother and attorney John Clayton
Brett '08, included a complete update of the corporation bylaws to
ensure they comply with UF and National Headquarters requirements
and standards.
An important provision was to change terms of office for directors so
that each year four of the 12 board members are elected to three-year
terms. You will find a listing of the new board and officers on page 5.
Other items covered were reports on the capital campaign and
meetings with UF staff.
Please remember that everyone who has been initiated into Sigma Phi
Epsilon, attended UF, and is no longer enrolled in any institution of
higher learning is automatically a member of the Florida Alpha AVC.
Your participation and support are vital to the future of Florida Alpha.

brother who can identify the most of them.
