If an error has been made in recording the amount of your gift, or if we have mistakenly omitted your gift, we sincerely apologize. If corrections to your giving record are needed, please send them to Sigma Chi Manhattan Alumni Chapter, P.O. Box 442100, Lawrence, KS 66044- 2100. Thank you, again, for your ongoing support! Thank You, Loyal Brothers B ryan Renyer '92 and Brian Bock '92 have a lifelong friendship that has taken the bonds of brotherhood to a whole new level. Growing up in the same hometown, the pair went to high school together and both picked K-State. Their friendship has only grown over the years and today they run a successful business together. Recruited to Sigma Chi as freshmen, Brian and Bryan left to play sports at a junior college for two years, then returned and were recruited to join Delta Upsilon again. As roommates at Sigma Chi, they were known to be simple guys, and once, after taking flak from the brothers for their plainly decorated room, Brian and Bryan hung up dirty laundry as their decorations. Brian's favorite memory of Delta Upsilon was the date dash where he began dating his wife, an Alpha Chi, while Bryan's favorite memory was the pledge sneak weekend trip to Dallas when Dr. Bryan Harnett '94 earned the nickname The Super Fly. The connections Bryan and Brian made at Sigma Chi have proved monumental in their lives after college. Brian spent a year as magister for Delta Upsilon, one of the best experiences of his life. "It really kept me plugged into the house and I still keep in touch with a lot of the pledges from that year, including Ryan Holt '95. Ryan helped me devote my life to the Lord, which would never have happened without Sigma Chi." Sigma Chi has been vital in their professional lives. After graduating with a business degree and finding the corporate world wasn't his calling, Brian started his own carpet cleaning business in 1994. Eventually Bryan, who had worked in the telecommunications business, started cleaning carpets with Brian and bought into the business. Today, Bock's Steam Star has been cleaning textiles in the Kansas City metro area for over 20 years and has 15 employees. Bryan is in charge of the operations and Brian focuses on sales and marketing. Brian said, "You are who you hang with, and if we have been successful in business and our family life, it's because of the Sigma Chi influence." In the beginning, Bock's Steam Star relied on many Sigma Chi brothers as contacts to build the business as its first customers, and many are still customers today. In his free time, Bryan enjoys hunting, working on his farm, and coaching kid's sports. Brian enjoys fishing and movies. They both have a son and two daughters who they hope will end up at K-State. Learn more about Bock's Steam Star at www.steamstar.net. You can e-mail Brian and Bryan at bbock@steamstar.net and brenyer@steamstar.net, respectively. The pair hopes you will call Bocks Steam Star. "It has kept us in touch with so many brothers— an offshoot blessing of the company." Bryan Renyer '92 and Brian Bock '92 Thankful for Sigma Chi's Influence in Their Lives
