Parker, AZ - The La Paz County Sheriff's Offi ce (LPCSO) and Buck- skin Fire Department respond to report of "found human remains" in the Colorado River. On May 4, 2015, at approximate- ly 10:00 hours, the La Paz County Sheriff's Offi ce was dispatched to the area of Cienega Springs boat launch in regards to a report of found human remains. The report- ing person stated that he/she was out snorkeling when they noticed skeletal remains at the bottom of the river. Sheriff's Offi ce personnel met with members of the Buckskin Fire Department who sent one of their divers down to investigate. The diver took an underwater camera and video recorded the footage as he saw it. When Firefi ghter Foerstner lo- cated the alleged remains, he found it to be an underwater tea-party with two fake skeletons sitting in lawn chairs. See video-footage posted on Facebook at https:// www.facebook.com/pages/La-Paz- County-Sheriffs-Department. Although the call itself was re- source intensive, both the Sheriff's Offi ce and Buckskin Fire were hap- py to fi nd that the remains weren't real and thanked the reporting party for making the call. "The news out of Nepal is horrifi c and the photos are heart-breaking," said H. Art Taylor, president and CEO of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance. "People want to help as soon as possible, and that is wonderful, but do- nors need to follow some key rules about supporting disaster relief so that their gifts get to those who need them most." Across the world, relief and development organizations and governments have begun responding to the earthquake in Nepal. American charities have also begun accepting donations to assist in the region.
