Building for the Future. e Shield Delta Tau Delta • Beta Alpha Chapter Alumni Newsletter • Spr ing 2015 I t's a great time to be a Delt and the excitement at Indiana University among Beta Alpha members continues to be very strong. As our youngest brothers prepare for finals, and the end of another spring semester at the Shelter approaches, the house corporation is gearing up for the building renovation and expansion, which will be completed this fall. All of our members are looking forward to moving into the renovated house by winter break. Construction will begin on or near May 10, and we encourage all alumni to follow the progress online, at www.iudtd.com. This is a great way for all alumni, family, and friends to see construction continue, and watch as renovations to the Shelter take place. The campaign and construction committees are pleased with the progress made leading up to this monumental occasion, and know that the coming months will bring even more excitement as the renovated shelter is completed, and new addition starts to take shape. We have made great progress with the Preserving Our Present, Building for the Future campaign to fund our enhanced Shelter at 1431 N. Jordan Avenue. To date we have received over $695,000 in commitments toward our $1.25 million fundraising goal. Sincere and heartfelt thanks to the 36 brothers who have already contributed. The finish line is in sight, but we need the help of all Delta Tau Delta brothers to get there. We want this to be a collaborative effort across all generations, and we know we can improve our participation rate. To those who have not yet made a gift, we strongly encourage your thoughtful consideration of this project. Participation is our main focus now, and gifts of all levels are much appreciated. This campaign is vital to our success and your help is needed immediately so that we may reach our goal as quickly as possible. The facts below might help in the consideration of your own level of support. • Contributions may be stretched over a five-year giving period, if desired. Many brothers have taken advantage of this opportunity to maximize their giving potential. • All donations above $1,000 will be recognized in campaign publications, like this alumni newsletter. • All donors contributing a minimum of $2,500 to the campaign will be recognized on a plaque prominently displayed in the new Shelter The need is huge, and the time is now, so please don't wait.
