3 Sigma Kappa Sigma Kappa Wins Chapter of the Year Award Undergraduate Sisters Excel in Campus Activities T he past few months for Delta Upsilon have been filled with hard work and good times. From an ice skating sisterhood retreat to a philanthropic tie blanket event Delta Upsilon has been nothing but busy. The sisters of Delta Upsilon enjoyed a night out at Mediacom Ice Rink. The retreat was full of skating, hot chocolate, Insomnia Cookies, and sisterly bonding. We began the night with lots of squeals and falls while singing, dancing, and joining together to do a few Sigma Kappa chants. Our sisterhood retreat ended with "Come On, Eileen." On February 28 we hosted a Tie Blanket Service Event for all sororities at Missouri State University. This event invited members of all sororities to our house to enjoy snacks, music, and Panhellenic bonding. By the end of the day, we made a total of 106 tie blankets to donate to Cox North Hospital in Springfield. For everyone's favorite week, Greek Week, Sigma Kappa was paired with Theta Chi fraternity and Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated. Our theme was Smoke and Mirrors, think fortuneteller, fame, wealth, and beauty. With lots of hard work, we came out with second place in Greek Jam and first place overall in Greek Week. We were also named Chapter of the Year, which was a huge honor on campus. Theta Chi fraternity, our pairing, was also named Chapter of the Year. You could say it was a pretty great week for our team! While this semester has been a whirlwind, we know we could not have done it without our alumnae! Delta Upsilon is extremely thankful for all of your support and encouragement throughout this semester. Without you, the Chapter of the Year award would not be possible. Feel free to drop by the house anytime and please keep your eyes open for future alumnae events.
