W
hat an honor it is to share Pi Chapter's
accomplishments. I have the incredible privilege
of serving as president for 2015, and I am excited to share
what we have been up to.
During the last weekend in January, executive council
members attended the Regional Leadership Conference
in Dallas. It was such a rewarding experience to be able
to connect with women across our region, learn more
about Gamma Phi, and exchange ideas and advice. We
returned home with a large pile of sticky notes full of new
ideas. RLC was a great way to kick off our semester!
CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT
The spring semester is always busy with events
celebrating Gamma Phi. We have Mom's Day, The
Big Event, Greek Week, our Scholarship Banquet,
recruitment retreats, and our annual French Toast
Feed. This year French Toast Feed was held on April
2 in support of the Lincoln chapter of Girls on the
Run. We look forward to celebrating our sisterhood
with a spring formal and Senior Week at the end of
the semester.
SCHOLASTIC EXCELLENCE
For the second semester in a row, I am so proud
to announce we have received the top campus GPA with an
average of 3.59. Several seniors have been accepted into
graduate programs, while others have been offered incredible
internship opportunities for the summer. Two juniors were
accepted into Mortar Board, Lauren Greufe '12 and Maggie
Schneider '12. Kelsey Harrington '12 and Kelli Kuntz '12
were accepted into Omicron Delta Kappa. Eight members are
studying abroad this semester in countries such as Italy, New
Zealand, Argentina, and Ireland. Scholastic excellence has
always been deeply rooted in Gamma Phi Beta, and we seek
to uphold those values in the future.
THANK YOU, LOYAL ALUMNAE
Although it is easy to get caught up in school, campus
involvements, and our future careers, it is fun to take a step
back and reflect on the chapter's successes and how much
this lifetime of sisterhood means to us. As collegians, we truly
value the opportunities we have to connect with our wonderful
alumnae and are so thankful for the women who actively
support us as advisors and mentors. Please feel free to
contact me or stop by and tour our chapter house at any time!
