Gamma Xi Sails through Spring Semester Members Thankful for Alumnae Support, Involvement T he last few months have been an exciting time for Gamma Xi as we watch the new lodge come together. We can't say thank you enough for the support we have received from our alumnae and look forward to the upcoming year. The chapter was proud to welcome 16 new members this spring and we can't wait to introduce them to DG events, new scholarship programs, and connect them with our wonderful alumnae. Academics Gamma Xi finished the fall semester with a 3.04 GPA. More than 30 members achieved a 4.0 and 91 earned a 3.5 GPA. The chapter is continually working toward improving scholarship with positive programs like our new scholar dollars program. Members earn scholastic "money" for extra study hall hours and making A's on papers, projects, and tests, and may use the money to purchase rewards at the end of the semester. Leadership Recently, six Gamma Xi members were initiated into honor societies and one member was chosen to join President's Select. Members of CMT attended the Delta Gamma Institute in Columbus, Ohio, and learned valuable leadership skills and connected with other Delta Gamma members across the nation. "To me, leadership is about coming together to reach a common goal. It was an incredible experience to be surrounded by so many wonderful sisters coming together to Do Good," shared VP Panhellenic Meredith McBroom '12. Alumnae Events We would like to thank the alumnae who brought their children to our Valentine's card making event. The collegians enjoyed taking a break from studying to make love bug pictures and color with the kids. We also look forward to the lodge blessing and all that the future has in store for our chapter. Thank You, Alumnae It has been a crazy but exciting year amidst the lodge being rebuilt, and we could not have done it without the support and care from our alumnae. I am so proud to be a part of something greater than ourselves that provides care and encouragement from the members before us. I know Gamma Xi will grow in the years to come and be a connection for many more women.
