Thank You, Generous Alumnae Jennifer Lewan '99 with Rachel Adam Wymore '99, Joy Larson Maxwell '99, Lisa Solomon Ginsburg '99, Jess Evans Roberts '99, Lisa Martincich Stuart '99, Jill Bradshaw Haley '99, and Dru Krischer '99 in Lawrence the summer of 2014. Why Give? Because They Gave You the Experience of a Lifetime W omen join sororities for all sorts of reasons: they want to meet people and make new friends, they want to be a part of a tradition that spans generations, they want to get involved philanthropically or learn key networking and professional skills. For Jennifer Lewan '99, it was a family tradition to be a Tri Delta. Her mother and sisters were members of Tri Delta at Colorado State, and Jennifer was excited to continue that legacy at another school. Jennifer describes her experience at Theta Omega as some of the best years of her life. She has many fond memories of attending Old Maid, going on Target runs with friends, talking with her sisters, and planning social events. The friends she made through Tri Delta, she knows, will be her friends for life. Just as there are many reasons to be a part of Delta Delta Delta, there are also many reasons to be involved as an alumna and give back to the chapter through the annual campaign. Jennifer knew when she received a solicitation letter that this was an opportunity to give back to the chapter that had given her so much. She wanted the chapter to continue to be a strong chapter and one of the best on the Hill. Not only would giving to Theta Omega help in this endeavor, but remaining involved in the chapter and with other alumnae can also help keep Theta Omega strong. "Your college friends understand how funny life was, how much that guy broke your heart, and why the Wheel pizza tasted so good at 2 a.m. There was nothing like being a Tri Delta and I will always cherish the memories I share with them." It is for these reasons that Jennifer gave back, so that future Tri Deltas will also be able to have the amazing experience that she had at Theta Omega. Jennifer lives in Colorado and works as an account manager in Denver and remains in close contact with her Tri Delta sisters. She tries to come back to Kansas every year and has many friends visit her in Denver. She's excited to see what the future holds for Theta Omega Chapter and her sisters.
