3 Alpha Tau Omega www.atonebraska.org All-Class Reunion Rallies ATW Brothers O n September 19, Gamma Theta held an all-class reunion for alumni at the DelRay Ballroom in Lincoln's historic Haymarket. More than 200 alumni, spouses, and undergraduates were in attendance with every decade from the 1960s to 2010s represented. A special thanks to the alumni who traveled quite a distance to join their brothers. Hats off to Bob Dudley '79 for spearheading the event, getting the word out, and generating a lot of interest for the largest gathering of Taus in quite some time. The point of the event, besides bringing all of us together, was to kick off the Building on a Tradition of Excellence campaign. While many of you already knew about the plans to renovate the Old Stone Fortress, this event marked the official launch of the campaign's public phase. Campaign Chairmen Rob Mitchell '77 and Brad Tolstedt '77 were on hand to rally support and give those in attendance a look at the future of the Gamma Theta Chapter, thanks to a 3-D video rendering done by Andy West '05. Board of Trustees President Bob O'Neal '71 and 2014 chapter President Wade Reigle '11 gave updates about the tremendous success the chapter has experienced over the last several years, including winning three national True Merit Awards in a row. As most of you know, this award is bestowed on the best chapters in the country and is a benchmark that Gamma Theta strives for each year. Based on the success of this all-class reunion, Gamma Theta is tentatively planning to have a similar event in the fall of 2016, likely the weekend of the Oregon vs. Nebraska football game. In the meantime, we hope to see you at a future ATW event, and we trust you will support the next generation of Taus at Nebraska by contributing to the renovation campaign.
