The Dukes brothers have maintained friendships with many pledge class brothers, which is why they make it a priority to stay connected to the chapter and attend alumni events when they get a chance. "I always enjoy seeing my brothers from the past before football games," Kevin says. "I am eternally grateful to Cole Nilson '81, Brad Gawey '81, and Brian Fail '80 for recruiting me, David Wood '81 for helping me through college and Terry Day '82 through medical school. I will cherish my lifelong friendships with Scott Coulson '82, Mike Dillingham '83, and Mitch Surrett '82." Bob is grateful that for the last few years he's had the opportunity to catch up with pledge class brothers David, John Piper '75, and Dan Steele '75 at golf weekends. Alumni events and OU football games have been a great way to reconnect with brothers old and new. "Depending on the kickoff time," Greg says, "I like to stop at the house and meet some of the new members. I am very impressed with the quality of young men we have been able to pledge and initiate." For this reason, the Dukes brothers are passionate about maintaining the chapter house as a way to ensure their Delta Kappa legacy will live on for decades to come. Kevin says he is confident, "this campaign will make us more attractive and competitive for young men coming to OU that want to be involved in Greek life." It will promote and protect the personal face-to-face interaction that college life is known for and give ATWs the opportunity to develop the skills that should greatly increase their options and life experiences once their OU days are over. "Having a solid new house with all of the amenities that are needed today to attract and keep new members can only be seen as a positive," Greg adds. Greg and his wife, Patricia, an ATW little sis, have two children, Genevieve who is 24 and lives in Houston, and John, who is a sophomore at Middlebury College in Vermont. When the weather is nice you'll likely find Greg on the golf course or traveling the world with Patricia. For the last 21 years, Greg has run his own oil and gas company, Silverado Oil & Gas LLP, focused on acquiring oil and gas royalties and minerals throughout the country.
