THETA CHI PAGE 3 TheTa Chi a Model organizaTion aT UF A long with the incredible transformation of the Chapter House itself, Tau Chapter continues to develop within. Our momentum and direction places us as a benchmark chapter at the University of Florida, and we invite our alumni members to share in the active Chapter. Theta Chi has become a model organization within the Interfraternity Council by broadening our scope and influence over the past four years, and being a consistent producer of campus leaders at every level. Fall 2014 was an exceptionally productive semester, including involvement with student government, honors society inductions, and outstanding academics. The Chapter maintained exceptional involvement in philanthropy, most notably with its performance in sorority events and University of Florida's marquee campus- wide philanthropy, Dance Marathon. The fall 2014 pledge class initiated 35 new members, demonstrating along the way the success of the new pledge program. Tau maintains high academic integrity, upholding the maxim of Theta Chi for Alma Mater, by ranking sixth in campus GPA with a 3.36 cumulative GPA. In addition to a changing of the guard at the executive level, brothers Bradley Wheeler '12 and Bobby Finigan '12 assumed high leadership positions on campus. Brother Wheeler became chairman of student government productions (SGP), the premier campus entertainment engine that attracts renowned artists from around the country, while Brother Finigan assumed the role of SGP comptroller. Futher, Joseph Michaels '11 completed a successful term as Senate President. Lastly, we welcomed brother Garrick Harding '08 into the Chapter House as our new house director. Brother Harding proves a valuable asset as the Florida Blue Key president from fall 2014. Theta Chi tapped three additional members to the society last fall. As we get close to our 100-year anniversary, Tau Chapter continues the legacy our alumni set before us. We welcome all Tau alumni and their families to join us at the house for the Orange & Blue Game, and thank our alumni members for their continued support of the Chapter in our efforts to be the best fraternity on campus. Without you our success would not be possible.
