This popular annual kick-off event for the Christmas Season will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. The Grand Marshal for this year's parade will be the North State Champion Little League team and coaches. Organizers expect many entries again this year. Date change for Veterans Appreciation To better serve our Vet- erans this years Veteran's Appreciation Day pan- cake breakfast and festivi- ties will be held from 8- 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Veteran's Memorial Hall, corner of Oak and South Jackson streets. This event offers a complimentary breakfast to all veterans. Breakfast is $5 for others. Please join the Downtown Red Bluff Business Associa- tion (DRBBA) for this enjoyable morning of speakers, music, cere- monies and tributes to our veterans. For the past two years, DRBBA in partnership with The Tehama County Military Family Support Group has hosted this breakfast event, Veteran's Appreciation Day and Walk of Gratitude. It was held in June and consisted of a pancake breakfast, flag cere- monies, speaker, musical tribute and a short walk of gratitude. The brisk and windy June mornings and the short walk were a bit much for many Veterans, but they still wanted to participate. This day of appreciation is now host- ed by the DRBBA due to health issues and avail- able volunteers within the TC Military Families Support Group. Arrests • Diane Marie Quigley, 20, of Red Bluff was arrested Wednesday in the 1000 block of South Main Street. She was charged with petty theft, posses- sion of drug parapherna- lia and possession of a narcotic controlled sub- stance. Bail was set at $19,000. • Joshua David White, 25, of Red Bluff was arrested Wednesday in the 21800 block of Riverside Avenue. He was charged with kid- napping and domestic battery after a caller reported seeing him bat- ter a woman holding and infant and then dragging her into a trailer. Bail was set at $55,000. • Officers responded to a call at about 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Sycamore Street about a wanted suspect at an apartment smoking marijuana. The woman, Desri Delores Lamora, 45, of Red Bluff, also known by the last name of Blakemore, was arrested on warrants charging her with failure to appear after a written promise, retail petty theft and displaying a false identification card. Bail was set at $10,000. Department of Social Services at 310 South Main St. • Corning - Park and Ride Com- muter Parking Lot, northeast corner of Third and Solano Streets Televisions, computer monitors and equipment, microwaves, Burglary • A black purse was reported stolen Wednes- day taken from a 2001 GMC truck in the 2600 block of Cimarron Drive. The loss was valued at $300. It is unknown if this is related to the three sus- pects seen rummaging through vehicles in the neighborhood earlier that morning. • A resident reported Wednesday that someone broke into a shed and stole items in the 400 block of South Jackson Street. No further infor- mation was available. • A 75-year-old woman reported Wednesday that someone had burglarized her deceased brother's residence in the 7600 block of Molinos Avenue in Los Molinos. Items taken from the house and shed included two bronze statues, an antique mirror, bugle, two mag flash- lights, two Master pad- locks, two sets of keys to a Chevrolet pickup and a Buick sedan. Total loss of about $269. The incident is believed to have occurred between 2 p.m. Oct. 17 and 5 p.m. Oct. 21. The suspect is believed to have used a hidden key to enter and remove the property. • A 64-year-old woman reported Wednesday that someone had burglarized her deceased mother's residence in the 19600 block of Sunshine Drive in Red Bluff. The bur- glary is believed to have taken place between 3 p.m. Monday and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. • A 49-year-old man reported a vacant house he owns on Trinity Avenue had about $1,200 worth of copper wiring taken from it. On Oct. 12, the man noticed about one-third of the house was without electricity and had an electrical contrac- tor check the residence. The contractor discovered someone had used the crawl space to remove several feet of copper electrical wiring. Vandalism • A residence was reported vandalized Wednesday in the first block of Colony Road. No further information was available. • Power lines were reported vandalized Wednesday in the 13800 block of Trinity Avenue. The new owners of the residence reported the incident. • The driver's side win- dow of a maroon 1996 GMC Yukon was reported broken Wednesday morn- ing at Rolling Hills Casi- no. The $200 damage occurred sometime between 1 and 4 a.m. Prank • A Walmart employee called 911 at about 8 p.m. Wednesday reporting that he'd gotten a call from a hysterical woman who said she had left her 3-year-old DOWNTOWN RED BLUFF BUSINESS ASSOCIATION'S child in a shopping cart and went home. The phone number given the employ- ee went to a person who didn't know anyone by the name of the alleged caller. Officers searched the park- ing lot and had employees do an extensive search for the child left behind, but no woman or child meeting the description were found. Officer contacted the Anderson Walmart man- agement and authorities and had them check the parking lot and store there. Nobody was found. Staff in Anderson said that they get similar prank calls on a regular basis at their store. Crash • A Red Bluff man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and having a blood alcohol content over .08 percent following an ATV crash at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday on Red Bank Road, south of King Road. Clifton Prince was arrest- ed and taken to St. Eliza- beth Community Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries before he was transferred to Mercy Med- ical Center in Redding. Prince was riding a 2006 Yamaha ATV south on Red Bank Road with- out a helmet when due to his level of intoxication he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. Prince steered to the right shoulder of Red Bank Road where he lost con- trol, hitting a barb wire fence and steel posts, becoming entangled in the barb wire before he was thrown from the ATV.
