The task of ensuring the success of the future
membership, as well as the great facility that
Beta Mu calls home, must not be taken lightly.
– The Challenges Ahead
We must be leaders in:
Housing – Offering the premier facility on Purdue's campus. Through the years projects have been
undertaken to update the living facilities and comply with fire regulations; however, the public spaces are
in need of a major renovation. This renovation is designed to allow us to once again offer the best house
on campus—a facility that is modern, efficient, spacious, and that all brothers —both undergraduate and
alumni—will be proud to call home at Purdue.
Scholarship – Creating innovative programs to support, recruit, and retain the best brothers. Beta Mu
must have the foresight and ability to support our undergraduate members in their fraternal and academic
endeavors. The new Beta Mu scholarship plan provides up to $1,500 a year for each member provided
they meet a list of criteria. This strategy has been utilized by other leading fraternities in the past, but
Beta Mu is committing more resources to provide the best possible program for future Betas.
Recolonization – Establishing Beta as once again the dominant fraternity.
The first five years are crucial to the young Chapter's continued success. We will have a full-time,
live-in advisor from Beta Theta Pi who will provide guidance on recruitment, operations, and fraternity
life. With your help we can rebuild Beta Mu successfully and provide the resources for the undergraduates
to fill the house with quality brothers. These short-term costs will yield long-term results as we focus on
the future of our Chapter.
