The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a tool to help you understand the status of local air quality. It can tell you how clean or polluted the air is, and what associated health effects might be a concern for you. The AQI is divided into six catego- ries: Good, Moderate, Unhealthy, for Sensitive Groups, Unhealthy, Very Unhealthy, and Hazardous. The EPA has assigned specific colors to each catergory to make it easier for people to understand the Air Quality Index chart.
