iii iii 3 ALPHA DELTA PI A lpha Omicron Chapter has had an exciting fall semester! We've enjoyed welcoming new members, raising money for Ronald McDonald House Charities, enjoying parent's weekend, along with many other great events. 78 MEMBERS RECRUITED THIS FALL Formal recruitment was very successful. Quota was 59 and, due to quota additions, we pledged 68 Alpha members! After recruitment chapter total was adjusted from 209 to 219. We recruited 10 more women during open recruitment and initiated 78 Alphas in October. MORE THAN $2,000 RAISED FOR RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES We've had a ton of fun raising money for our philanthropy. This fall we raised more than $2,000 with our PiAthalon event. The event featured two days of activities for people on the OSU campus. Our final event was an alumnae reunion held before the first home football game of the season. This was the inaugural year for the PiAthalon and reunion, and we plan to make it an annual event. STILLWATER COMMUNITY AO also purchased a butterfly statue to benefit Wings of Hope, a Stillwater domestic violence intervention program. Alpha and Delta members submitted designs for the butterfly and alumnae voted on the design at the reunion. The butterfly will soon be painted and placed in the front yard of the Chapter house. Visit http://www. sdvs.org/photogallery to see other butterfly statues in the community. MEMBERS ENJOY FALL CHAPTER EVENTS In September we welcomed our moms and dads for Parent's Weekend. We are looking forward to the Mom's Day activities in April. This fall, our members were busy preparing the Homecoming house decorations. We were paired with the men of Phi Kappa Tau and had a blast getting to know them as we built our display. ALUMNAE, SAVE THE DATE We look forward to an exciting spring semester. Our annual 5K is scheduled for Saturday, February 21. It will be on campus before the OSU/KU basketball game and we'd love to see alumnae attend! Race information will be sent in early January. We appreciate all of the support from alumnae and we look forward to seeing you at events!
