BQP THETA DELTA DRAGON Beta Theta Pi at The Ohio State University • Fall 2014 I t is exciting news to announce that Beta eta Pi is returning to e Ohio State University campus! We are well on our way to a successful recruitment with the help of the University, General Fraternity, and alumni like you. A successful recolonization requires an engaged and supportive alumni base, so we'll be communicating regularly about our progress and seeking your help. Without you, we can't realize our dream of returning Beta to 165 E. 15th Ave and our goal of becoming the best fraternity on Ohio State's campus. We are proud to share that we successfully recruited our class of 34 founding fathers this fall. ese men will serve as the new leaders for the recolonized colony and are off to a great start already with a 3.36 GPA. e men were recently inducted into the chapter at the Pledge Induction Ceremony with many Beta alumni attending for support. e founding fathers are very excited to start their Beta experience! e ceremony took place at the Ohio Union with eta Delta alumni and Beta staff members, including: Brock Griffin, Utah '13, Matt Crimmins, Northeastern '13, Dave Wright '67, and John Beam '68. Aer the ceremony, Dave and John shared their experiences, their bonds formed in the Fraternity and what's in store for the pledges. e group discussion aerwards revealed why everyone was there; to develop lifelong friendships and brotherhood that stem from fraternal bonds. Inside you will find more information about the recolonization process, including a feature on our on-site colony development coordinator (CDC), Brock Griffin, Utah '13, and information on where to send your recruitment recommendations. Our recruitment efforts will continue into the spring. As we move forward in the recolonization process, the Alumni Association and Building Association continue to look into long-term housing options for the chapter to ensure that we are providing a safe, modern, and competitive facility. We all want Beta to make a strong return to campus to secure eta Delta's future. is process is not without challenges and we will continue to seek alumni support nationwide as we return Beta to Ohio State. Our efforts will only be successful if every alumnus participates, whether it be with time, talent, or treasure. We welcome your questions, input, and involvement as we begin this new era of the eta Delta Chapter. Please feel free to contact Brock Griffin at brock.griffin@beta.org or Alumni Relations Officer Matt Brown '05 at matt.brown49@gmail.com.
