With our newest pledge class, our numbers have been consistent for the past four years. Along with membership numbers being up, the overall enthusiasm and work ethic has been steadily increasing and shows no sign of slowing down. Philanthropy Continues to Be Successful This year we had another successful Derby Days, which raised more money than we have in the past and continues to be one of the strongest philanthropies on campus. We are still working on our fall philanthropy. Strong Membership Numbers We have another very strong pledge class with 21 new pledges starting out the year. This year will mark the fourth year in a row of a pledge class of over 20 men. Our goal for the future is to have all recruiting completed by the end of the fall semester. Projects Planned at Chapter House This year we had eight brothers attend Balfour Leadership Training Workshop in Muncie, Indiana, including Chapter Advisor Teg Chaffee '86. Teg has two sons living in the house and has done a great job staying connected with all of the active brothers. This year we are also planning on constructing a concrete White Cross in the front yard. As soon as construction is finished we are planning on building a brick wall and alumni are encouraged to purchase a brick and have their name engraved on it. Alumni/Parents Events We have our Dad's Weekend set for November 1-2 and Mom's Weekend on March 28-29. We are planning an alumni event for this fall. If you are interested in attending, please contact me so we can build a database to contact alumni for this event.
