Achieving this would exceed our campaign goal of $900,000. Gamma Xi appreciates each dollar given to this campaign. The only way we can accomplish our goals is if we work together. Each donation is a blessing and we would love to see your name added to our contributors list. Read how three different sisters are able to contribute $500 over five years and see how you can do the same. Stacy Meadows Gershowitz '82 chose to donate $500 to the campaign because she remembered how nice the lodge was when she was at Tech. When she looked at the plans for the renovation, she knew she wanted the legacy to continue. "There are 52 weeks a year. For a donation of $500 paid over the span of five years, that's less than the price of a cup of coffee per week." Karen Capels Miller '79 gave to the campaign because she wants our Texas Tech collegians to have an updated, roomy and welcoming lodge. "I was encouraged because the effort was being spearheaded by my pledge sister, Debbie Greene Finalayson '79. I chose to give $550 over five years in order to be a small part of an exciting, worthwhile effort that will pay bronze, pink, and blue dividends for years to come." Cassie Hawkins Morgan '97 shares that the women she met and opportunities she was provided in Gamma Xi allowed her to grow into the person she is today, personally and professionally. "The current lodge was built to accommodate a chapter of about 30 women. Currently the chapter size is over 200. My husband and I have a daughter that is about to be one year old and are currently in the midst of a move to Austin. Our budget is quite tight at the moment. The ability to donate over five years made it more manageable for us to contribute." Rhett Dawson, contractor; Steve and Sara Lackey, Happy State Bank representatives; Deborah Greene Finlayson 79, president; Deborah Harding Penner '77, treasurer; Barbara Bergman Robertson '71, house corporation member; and Mike Henthorn, contractor; at the signing of the bank loan for the new lodge.
