SAVE THE DATE: Relays and House Opening April 24-25, 2015 Join us for Relays and house tours of the brand new chapter house. Welcome, New Members C ongratulations to the 17 men who pledged Theta Chi this fall. We look forward to their activation into our brotherhood! Instead of working on the chapter house, members spent work week building a new home through Habitat for Humanity. Since the chapter house was demolished this summer, we found a few ways to adapt and get innovative for work week. Instead of focusing on preparing the house to look good for recruitment, we focused on helping our members grow. We spent a great deal of time working our recruitment skills and it paid off handsomely with a very impressive pledge class of 17 outstanding young men. The chapter also went on a brotherhood camping trip where we set goals for the year and focused on building the brotherhood. Much of this camping trip was aimed at creating a sense of brotherhood and closeness, which will be vital to surviving the year without a chapter house. Beyond focusing on improving ourselves, the chapter also worked with Habitat for Humanity to help build a home for a family in need. Since we are normally working on our own house this time of year, we felt it important to help someone else who is also in need of a new home. We hope to see all of you at Homecoming the weekend of October 24-25 and the Drake Relays and All-Greek Reunion the weekend of April 24-25! Fraternally, Bryce Lynn '16, President bryce.lynn@drake.edu
