MAIN FLOOR AND SITE PLAN
• In order to retain the large front lawn, parking is in the lower level
of the rear of the building with three floors above. This is also an
amenity for the chapter that can provide additional revenue, as
well as a utilitarian, indoor, and flexible space that can be used for
periodic social functions.
• The parking structure provides a platform for an outdoor terrace
space on the main level, adjacent to the dining hall and recreation
room on the west side of the building facing Arbor Street, serving
a similar function as the deck.
• The kitchen and dining (now at southeast corner of main level)
will be full service with a walk-in cooler and freezer, grill, fryer
and prep area. It is designed to be closed off and used as a weekend
kitchen when no hot meals are being prepared and after-hours.
• The main entrance is at the same location. To the north the large
formal front room will have a reference room feel furnished for
study. The original fireplace and Coat of Arms would remain in
this room, as well as an arched portal at the south end.
• A new recreation room is immediately south of an expanded
foyer, outfitted with seating, a large television, and opening up
to the terrace. It will have the ability to be reconfigured as an
expanded area for dining and large functions.
• A library/study area adjacent to the recreation room, available for
study and projects.
• An elevator would be installed to meet ADA standards, and two
new stair towers accessing every floor would be located on the
northeast and northwest corners of the building, for good flow
throughout the structure.
• Men's and women's restrooms are located to the east of the
elevator, as are storage closets.
