AUG. 27 for Sept. 3 rd edition Desert Messenger Email: editor@DesertMessenger.com 928-916-4235 www.DesertMessenger.com By Joanne Winer The 3rd annual Santa's Workshop Arts and Crafts Festival is com- ing up November 29th and 30th this year, and it will again be held at the Tyson Wells Showgrounds. The Quartzsite Business Chamber is hosting this great event, and is now taking names for applications for a spot at the festival. The cost of the event is only $25.00 for each space for the two day show. Set-up will be on Friday the 28th of November. Anyone who had an indoor space last year will have fi rst chance at one this year. If you wish to add your name to the list for entering the show, applications will be available at the Chamber offi ce during their open hours. The applications will be printed soon, and must be fi lled out and returned with a photo of what you are selling. Each participant is also asked to donate one item they make for the raffl e. If you are a crafter, and would like to participate in the show, there are plenty of outside spaces available, and there may be some indoor spaces left as well, so get your names in as soon as possible to be put on the list and they will send you the paperwork, or you can pick it up at the offi ce during open hours. This event has grown to become one of the best shows for homemade craft items in the area, with over 50 participants last year. It's a great way to show off your craft work and make some spending money for yourself as well. You must provide your own tables, chairs and decorations, and Christmas is the theme. All items must be home made and no sup- plies can be sold (no vendors). For more information about the show, or to get on the list for ap- plications to enter, please call the Business Chamber at 928-927- 9321 during offi ce hours, or leave a message on the phone and they will get back to you. You can also drop into the offi ce--they are open on summer hours Tuesday, Wednes- day and Thursday from 10 am to 2 p.m. Come on and join in all the fun!! If you don't do crafts but love home made things, this is the place for your Christmas shopping!!!
