Campaign FAQs Fundraising plans: e last effort was not nearly as organized nor did we have the support from a group like Pennington & Company focused on ensuring that the campaign was thorough and successful. • What happens if we don't raise enough money? e wheels are in motion to ensure this location is established for the undying legacy of Texas Alpha. We are 75% of the way committed and the additional $4 million will be guaranteed to ensure the timelines continue. • Can I make my gi online? While the Texas Alpha Endowment Fund is not currently able to accept online or credit card payments you can download all of the campaign information, receive campaign updates, and secure contact infor- mation for campaign contacts at http://phipsitexas.com. Auto dra payments are being looked at as an option to maximize giving. • Can I gi securities? Yes, any cash-equivalent gi can be made to the Foundation. Please contact Kelly Fish to discuss these transfers at at (901) 289-5492 or kfish@astate.edu. • Can I make a bequest? e campaign has a policy of not soliciting deferred gis. Texas Alpha needs the funding now and cannot defer receipt of funds. If a donor is insistent upon a deferred gi, the Campaign Committee will decide on a case-by-case basis whether to recognize the gi in question as part of the campaign. You can contact Kelly Fish at (901) 289-5492 or kfish@astate.edu • Will my company match? Some companies will match gis to charitable foundations. All donors are encouraged to ask about com- pany matching gis. If the donor is eligible, he needs to send in a matching gi form with his payments. Donors will be recognized by the campaign at the level of their gi plus the match. (Ex: $5,000 from donor and $5,000 from company equals $10,000 recognition) • What do I need to do to have a room named in honor of my family, pledge class, etc.? Named giving opportunities start at $35,000 for individuals and the campaign committee has outlined specific opportunities for our generous donors. Please contact Kelly Fish for additional information at (901) 289-5492 or kfish@astate.edu. • When does my pledge need to start? Donors are asked to make their first payment by the end of 2014. Gis can be spread over a five-year period. If a donor can give his gi over a three-year period or front load their payment, it will help the TAHB pay for the project sooner.
