Daily Beast says Fayetteville Tops in the nation for Recent Graduates

In The Daily Beast’s annual rank- ings for Best Cities for Recent Grads, Fayetteville is best in the country. Fayetteville beat out Omaha, Neb., Oklahoma City, Austin, Texas and Houston to earn the top spot.

The rankings take into account things like the cost of living index (95.3 for Fayetteville), percent of population between age 22-24 (6.4 percent), percent of housing units for rental (44), unemploy- ment rate (9.1) and average per- capita personal income ($40,045).
Durham checked in at seventh on the annual list. In 2010, Fayette- ville didn’t crack the top 25.
