Since he joined Missouri Alpha more than 20 years ago, Jason has cultivated relationships with many brothers and his membership in Phi Delt has continued to develop every year. "Living in Phi Delt gave me the opportunity to have brothers and be a part of something. I was an only child growing up and moved around a lot. When I got to the chapter house as a pledge and the fun started, I immediately reacted to the pledge brother bonding concept and was ready to take on whatever came our way. The chapter also gave me an opportunity to step up and learn how to accept responsibility through various offices in the chapter." Jason served as recruitment chairman, vice president, president, and Greek week director while an undergraduate. The bond between brothers has not faded with time. Jason's favorite memories include Bill Cowherd doing the chicken walk through the halls, Christmas caroling, winning the Delta Gamma Anchorman King, everything about Greek Weekâdance practice with the girls, late nights writing the script, and winning, pledge dad night, gangster party, hayride party, mystery dates, and, of course, Miami Triad. "I can't speak for everyone, but some of my best times and best friends are from the Phi Delt chapter house. My career is because of a pledge brother. I met my wife at a Phi Delt party. I have a lot to be thankful for and much of it has a connection to the chapter. I owe it to the chapter to keep that opportunity alive for others to experience." Jason encourages alumni of all ages to keep in touch with their brothers because "you need friends to get through life." Jason is the international sales director at Cooperages 1912, a supplier of oak barrels to the wine and spirits industry. He enjoys his work because it has given him the opportunity to meet interesting people, travel, and work with multiple Phi Delt brothers. Jason lives in Novato, California, with his wife, Kristen, and their daughter, Lily. He hopes to visit Columbia this fall, attend a football game, and relive the glory days.
