The chapter continues to show its dominance, recruiting 35 new members this spring and earning its 13th consecutive Buchanan Cup at Conclave last August. We have been working hard on the Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future campaign to raise $1.4 million for the renovation and expansion of the chapter house. Demolition on the apartment has been completed, demolition on the first floor extension has begun, and the renovation of the older section of the chapter house is well underway. This extensive renovation will enhance the productivity and viability of Ohio Theta for years to come. With the construction loan secured and work begun, we need your help now more than ever to reach our fundraising goal. Since the spring of 2012, 221 alumni and friends have pledged $1,149,670 to the campaign. While 221 sounds like a large number of donors, it means that more than 1,086 alumni have not contributed. Sigma Phi Epsilon is a premier fraternity and remains at the heart of Greek life at the University of Cincinnati. Our alumni were leaders as undergraduates and have been successful in their careers. Those are the facts that gave us confidence as we developed this ambitious campaign. Since the campaign announcement, we have contacted brothers via letters, e-mails, newsletters, and class leader calls, telling everyone our plans and how great the needs and opportunities are. Many alumni are making pledges, while others have voiced support but are waiting to make their commitments. If you have been waiting to make a commitment, now is the time! We need your support to complete the renovation of our home and best position the chapter for long-term success. Joining your brothers to help us build for the next generation of SigEps is a great way to give back just a little of what the ΣΦE experience gave to you. Your pledge will show your continued commitment to our undergraduate brothers, fellow alumni, and the promises you made at your initiation into our beloved fraternity.
