ALPHA CHAPTER OF THETA XI
F
or 150 years, the Alpha Chapter of Theta Xi has been a vital part of
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The Alpha Chapter has set itself apart
from other fraternities on campus by producing men who distinguish them-
selves as scholars, athletes, and men of character.
The Alpha Chapter of Theta Xi shapes men into leaders and contributors
at Rensselaer and beyond, but it is the common bond of our brotherhood
that connects us and remains within our hearts. More than anything broth-
erhood is what we, as alumni, treasure most. It is this brotherhood that we
must leave for our future brothers. Without this unique bond, which was
handed down by those who came before us, we would not be successful in
continuing this long tradition of excellence.
All Theta Xi alumni can be proud of the legacy we have helped create
and the historical quality of our chapter that carries on to this day. It is our
duty to carry on these traditions. This is the true legacy of the alumni of
the Alpha Chapter of Theta Xi. Since our founding, the college experience
has drastically changed. Today, more than ever, Theta Xi plays a signifi-
cant role in the development of young men. To support our younger active
brothers and the health of our brotherhood, we must join together to usher
in a new era of our fraternity.
The alumni of Alpha have the duty to enrich the Theta Xi experience for
future generations of men and within this each of us has the opportunity to
continue this legacy that was such an important and supportive piece of our
lives. The following pages detail the steps to complete a renovation of our
cherished chapter house at 1490 Sage Avenue. This project will serve the
immediate needs of our current undergraduates and restore our house to top
condition for future Theta Xis. Our chapter's past is secure, our present is
thriving, but our future depends on our vigilance in supporting Alpha. The
150 Years of Theta Xi campaign depends on you.
