The 3rd Annual Community Appearance Awards Program is calling for nominations through June 1. The categories include:  Best New Residential Property  Best New Non-Residential Property  Best Revitalization of a Residential Property  Best Revitalization of a Non-Residential Property  Best Housing Development or Neighborhood  Best Landscaping Project  Best Green Project  Best Restoration of a Historical Property T he City of Fayetteville and Cumberland County are recognizing properties in Cumberland County for enhancing the appearance of the community. Properties in the towns of Eastover, Falcon, Matters T Child Advocacy Center Needs Volunteers he Child Advocacy Center will host a Volunteer Information Session on Wednesday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at the center located at 336 Ray Avenue. Volunteer Coordinator Faith Boehmer will present information about the CAC’s mission, describe various volunteer opportunities ranging from event planning to ofce support, and answer questions. The session will last one hour. Interested individuals are asked to call the center at 910-486-9700 to register for the information session. Community Appearance Awards Program Accepting Nominations  Best Existing Residential Property  Best Existing Non-Residential Property  Best Neighborhood Entrance/Gateway The City/County Joint Appearance Commission will recognize properties at an awards ceremony this summer. To nominate properties, the Joint Appearance Commission requests that residents ll out a nomination form. The nomination form can be obtained by calling the City of Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Division at 433-1612 or by logging onto www.cityoffayetteville.org/appearanceaward/. At least three photos of the property are required, but a maximum of ve photos may be submitted. Printed images will not be returned.
