alpha Epsilon phi 3 Sisters enjoy a sisterhood ice skating event: Rachel Cohen '12, Lauren Capizzi '12, Rachel Joseph '12, Jackie Shaps '12, Milena Zalloni '13, Hannah Cohen '12, and Becky Dolinko '12. M u Chapter has many goals for improving our chapter's function and morale. Under our Panhellenic pride initiative, we chose three categories to focus on this semester: leadership, social advancement, and service. LeADeRSHiP We hope to create stronger alumnae- chapter relations through social media by creating a Facebook group to invite Mu Chapter alumnae back to the house for events such as Parent's Weekend and bagel bar. We also want to revamp the new member program by creating more bonding activities for the new member class to make them feel more connected to the chapter and ready for leadership positions. Last fall, we were fortunate to recruit 56 new members who are passionate about upholding Mu Chapter's values. SoCiAL ADvAnCeMenT Our goal is to create stronger bonds in the Greek community through involvement in the Atius-Sachem program, which creates an annual Mom's Day sing. As an executive board, we have been striving to create a more effective online calendar to inform members of happenings within the chapter. We are very proud to earn the second-highest GPA among sororities at U of I. We achieved this goal by promoting good study skills, opportunities for tutoring and group study, and support from our sisters. SeRviCe We are striving to be more involved in the Champaign community. We also want to implement a new philanthropy system by creating teams of participants at the beginning of the semester and assigning them to events in hopes of encouraging members to develop new relationships within our sisterhood, while continuing to support other Greek chapters on campus.
