Reunion for the Phi Mu Ladies from the '70s
P
hi Mu ladies from the '70s gathered for fun and fellowship on
March 1 at Jim's Place Grill in Collierville, Tennessee. What
started out as a few ladies planning a dinner turned into quite a group! A
delicious three-course meal was served, including a decadent dessert. No
one counted calories and a good time was had by all! The group enjoyed
discussing college memories, children, and grandchildren.
Mary Scott's work has been shown in several Mississippi galleries, and
she also paints portraits and architectural scenes by commission. Her
paintings hang in homes and businesses across the United States,
and some of her work may be viewed by visiting her website,

"I realize now just how much those friendships that began at the Phi
Mu house have meant to me over the years; they are lifelong deep
friendships. We now share a tent in the Grove, play tennis, and travel
with Phi Mu friends I've known since Ole Miss. Recently I spent several
days at the beach at Pawley's Island, S.C., with my Phi Mu Big Sis,
Patti Patterson Seigler '77, to celebrate her retirement as a physician. I
was determined to show her that she can reignite her artistic talents after
all those years of working in medicine!"
Mary Scott and her husband, Tommy, reside in Jackson and are now
empty nesters, as both their sons have graduated from Ole Miss in recent
