Chapter Adds Four New Members Alpha Nu added four new members through continuous open bidding (COB) in February. Welcome ladies! CHAPTER ETERNAL Betty Dixon Beer '39 entered Chapter Eternal on February 12 at her residence in Galvez, Texas, surrounded by her loving family due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. Betty loved being outdoors and tending to her garden and flowers. She was very close to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much. For many years, Betty was a school bus driver for Ascension Parish. ALUMNAE NEWS Ann Eicher Bain '47 resides in St. Louis, Mo. She said the ribbon- cutting ceremony for the renovation of the house was wonderful and the house looks beautiful. E-mail: abain3558@sbcglobal.net Reta Jo Keedy Wade '54 wants to congratulate the chapter on their new house. "I'm sure it is beautiful. I can't believe I started my freshman year there 60 years ago this fall! ACW was a wonderful experience." Reta loved living in TD 3 (temporary dorm #3), which was two blocks away. She lived in the ACW house for one semester. Reta lives in Saint Joseph, Mo. Alice Smith Johnson '62 spends half of her year in Belgium and half in Saint Cyprian, France, with friends and family. Patchwork is a passion of hers. One of her quilts won the European Quilts Awards at the International Quilt Expo in Innsbruck, Switzerland, in 1998. She taught first and third grades before joining Pan America Airlines in 1972 and United Airlines in 1986. Winnie still loves her job and doesn't see herself retiring for at least 10 more years. She has twin daughters who both live in Santa Barbara, Calif. She and her husband, Rym, reside in Santa Cruz, Calif. Her daughter, Hillary, is a second-year student at the University of Virginia and her son, Jordan, is a recent college graduate who joined a financial investment firm. Janet has worked on alumni projects through the Department of Allied Health and would like to return for a game or to meet old friends at the chapter house. She and her husband, Jim, reside in Columbia, Mo., and have two children: Jeff graduated from Lincoln University and Angie is a freshman at the University of Missouri, competing on the Tiger gymnastics team.
