SURVIVORS Relay For Life celebrates survivors The April Sacramento River Discovery Center bird walk is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday and the weather is expected to be cool but clear, so it should be a great morning to see what the feathered deni - zens of the Red Bluff Rec- reation Area are up to. It appears that a red shoulder hawk pair has taken up housekeeping at the nest in the Wil - low Forest — the one that the owls took over a year or so ago. They have been seen around and on the nest by sev - eral people. There's ac- tivity around several of the magpie nests and lots of bird activity, including red shoulder hawks in the campground, throughout the property. The center has ac - quired a small quantity of pamphlets on birding in Modoc County. They will be available for anyone who would like one.
