Remember to use spaces and punctuation! M att Mcgraw '95 had a "pretty good idea" before he stepped in Norman that he wanted to be an ATW. He was familiar with the chapter and had several friends on his dorm floor who wanted to join ATW, as well. It was an easy decision for him and a wonderful experience. Matt made lasting friendships and brotherhoods. He keeps in touch with many of his brothers and lives close to several. The families get together on a regular basis and they have all enjoyed watching their kids grow up together. Every year his pledge class keeps up with "guy time" and plans a trip to Las Vegas around March Madness. Matt also loves seeing and catching up with ATWs during tailgates before every Oklahoma home football game. Brotherhood is one of Matt's favorite memories within his time at Delta Kappa. He recalls holding "brotherhoods" once a month to keep the chapter bonded. During this time brothers had a chance to speak what was on their mind. "It was a great bonding experience and gave everyone a chance to open up and speak about anything, good or bad that was happening in their lives." Another favorite memory of Matt's is the Vanilla Ice Party. "It was the best party in my four years at OU and people still talk about it to this day. It was epic!" Being a Delta Kappa member was also a great experience of what triumphs and complications life brings. It helped Matt step up within the organization and be a true leader. "Leadership is all about knowing your role through your own personal strengths and using those strengths within your organization, but most importantly life." That experience is the reason Matt gives back as much as possible. Alumni support is the backbone to every strong chapter, and every donation will help make sure other brothers are able to take advantage of the same experience. Delta Kappa has one of the strongest alumni groups in the country and Matt won't rest until they are the best. It is not about giving the largest donation, but giving what you can and knowing that it will make a difference. "You can say that you had a part in building this from ground zero." His advice to undergraduates is to remember to do what makes you happy, love what you do, and you will never "work." His career began at Collections Ford Motor Credit, and he now works for AER Manufacturing. Matt oversees 16 distribution warehouses all over the country. They are very successful and he enjoys seeing their sales increase every year. The warehouses service over 1,500 Ford dealers with powertrain, vehicle accessories, auto glass, and tires. Matt enjoys boating, fishing, and spending time with family. His family is one of the most important aspects of his life, and he usually spends his weekends with his wife, Monica, and two daughters, Meredith (6) and Mallory (3), either running around the soccer field or basketball gyms.
