The accomplishments and successes enjoyed by the Sigma Chapter are directly attributed to the chapter's alumnae. The following is a list of contributors who gave to the fall 2013 appeal. We Love Our Sigma Advisors S igma Chapter has a wonderful board of advisors working with our collegians this semester! New to our board this spring are Jaclyn Binder Stanley '99 and Amy Roberts '87. Jaclyn is an eighth grade social studies teacher in the Gardner-Edgerton School District and has two children, Presley, age 2, and Paxton, who was born in February. Amy is an RN working as a healthcare consultant in the workers compensation industry. She serves on the board of the Nursing Alumni Association for KU Med Center. June Thompson Toland '35 entered Chapter Eternal on February 27, 2013. She was born in Iola on June 19, 1914. She earned her degree in political science and as a young woman worked at the Iola Abstract Company where she learned the abstract business from her father. She served as a secretary to Payne Ratner during his time as Kansas Governor and state senator. June married Iola attorney and Kansas State Senator Stanley E. Toland in 1942. She was an 85-year member of the Iola Presbyterian Church.Among many affiliations, June was a charter member of two organizations,Cofachique Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1949 and the Friends of the Iola Public Library in 1984. Lynne Logan Clawson '54 entered Chapter Eternal on March 23, 2013, in Kansas City, Mo. She earned a degree in elementary education and was a lifetime KU alumnae member. She married her husband, Jack in 1955 and taught school while they lived in Michigan, Texas, North Carolina, and Italy while he was employed privately in missile defense programs for the federal government. She was active in the Greater Kansas City Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta, a member of Chapter GM, PEO Sisterhood, Leawood Methodist Church, and held the oldest membership in Elizabeth Carey Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Nevada.
