With the addition of fall and spring pledges, about 90 men now sport our letters and colors in Greencastle. As you'll see in the alumni secretary's report, these men are busy in the classroom, on campus and in athletics. As one of only 25 Phi Delt chapters with more than 2,000 initiates, our 146-year-old legacy continues to grow. Local alumni volunteerism is at a high these days. As always, Steve Jones '69 remains our cornerstone. Since the '80s, Jonesy has been involved in nearly every aspect of our undergraduates' collegiate lives. Newer additions to our ranks include Andrew miller '13, who has been assisting Phis in internships, off-campus and career searches through his work in the Hubbard Center. Joining Steve Setchell '96 in the alumni engagement office is vincent Aguirre '12. Vince has gotten himself involved with chapter awards submission, as well as recent recruitment enhancements. With the help of Pat Aikman '57, local attorney eddie felling '09 has delivered community service projects to our door nearly monthly. And the ever-present support of Ken owen '82 has been felt in helping us promote our accomplishments. Ken directs DePauw's media relations efforts. Our 446 Anderson Street home improvements seem to never stop either. House Corporation President darrell Johnson '85 and Cole dunnick '96 remain dedicated to the legal and fiscal aspects of keeping the House Corporation as successful as it has ever been. In our march toward $1 million in facility improvements, these dedicated brothers have been responsible stewards of your generous donations. As past newsletters have chronicled, the 88-year-old Chapter House and 52-year-old "new" addition have seen near-complete makeovers. Interior dining and food service upgrades have taken place over the last year and will conclude this summer. From the roof to the refurbished basement, your collegiate home looks better than ever. But, in order to remain competitive with both Greek and university alternatives, alumni can't rest for a moment. This spring we'll examine long-term HVAC planning for comfort and efficiency. We remain the only university living unit without air conditioning, so electrical and comfort considerations are forthcoming. Again, we remain thankful for the generosity of those named above, as well as to our donors across the globe. One does not have to look far on campus to see the shadow of once proud fraternity and sorority houses that have weakened or failed in part because of nonexistent alumni involvement. Phi Delt remains a proud member of the DePauw community because of you!
