The Beta house is an iconic structure with a great location. When the house was constructed by Brother Bill Tankersley '22, in 1929, it was done so with the most durable materials that resulted in a house that was built to last. Our Italian Renaissance Revival style limestone building at 800 Chautauqua was built to be unique, and it has attracted the best students to our fraternity for decades. Our planned renovation places an emphasis on providing a modernized and expanded Beta house while maintaining the historical char- acter of the original house. In all areas, the architect has been instructed to address mandatory building and fire code requirements. In addition, we have placed a special emphasis on the use of practical and durable building materials, finishes, and fixtures. The aim is a high-quality durable facility that will provide a safe living and learning environment for Betas for decades to come. o u r p l a n
