2013 semester. Each semester, the scholarship chairman, Parents Club, and faculty adviser host an Academic Achievement Night consisting of a dinner, keynote
speaker, and awards ceremony. The Chapter boasts a top-three GPA among fraternities on campus. Center: Andrew Kuchta '15 defeated SAE 's John Rathmell in
the title fight at the 34th annual Sigma Chi Fight Night on November 1, 2013. The event welcomed more than 3,000 University of Texas students and 100 alumni

w
e have had a great start to 2014 and are well on our way into
the spring semester. The Chapter is in its strongest state in
decades and at its largest size perhaps ever, boasting 196 men
of Jordan Standard quality. Our success stretches beyond the grounds
of 2701 Nueces, including a top-three ranking in fraternity cumulative
grade point average and brothers' involvement in student government,
Texas athletic teams, internships at the state capitol, the Texas Cowboys
and Silver Spurs, and more. Through brotherhood events such as billiards
tournaments, chapter ranch retreats, and paintball outings we have been
able to maintain brotherhood and unity despite our large numbers.
National Award Recipient
Since reinstallation, the Alpha Nu Chapter of Sigma Chi has developed
a fierce dedication to the ritual and the teachings of our seven founders.
This dedication and strict adherence to the essence of Sigma Chi has led to
the aforementioned success and the reception of the Peterson Significant
Chapter Award from Headquarters for two consecutive years.

A Year of Success
This past year has been filled with success for Alpha Nu. Through Derby
Days and Fight Night we raised over $67,000 for charities, including the
B+ Foundation and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. We also completed
the dining room expansion project and initiated 55 new brothers into
the Chapter.
Alumni Welcome
We look forward to continuing our efforts to reconnect with our alumni
and show that the Chapter is as strong today as it has ever been. Please
know that you are always welcome at 2701 Nueces and
will be received with welcome hands and warm hearts.
Always and Forever Proud,
