Gleaners will distribute food as follows in February: • Corning, 8 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Feb. 19, Corning Senior Center, 1015 Fourth Ave. • Red Bluff, 8 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Feb. 19, Food Bank, 20699 Walnut St. • Rancho Tehama, noon to 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17, Recreation Center. • Los Molinos, 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Feb. 18, Masonic Hall, 25020 Tehama Vina Road. All other sites in the county will be at the usual times and places. Applications for food bank cards may be on the day of giveaway. Bring large paper or plastic bags and egg cartons if possible. New applicants please bring Rent Receipt, PG&E bill or something with a physical address. All income must be reported. Income is gross monthly per household not net. Only one card will be issued per household. The following informa- tion is compiled from Red Bluff Police Department, Tehama County Sheriff's Department, Corning Police Department and California Highway Patrol. Arrests • David Jason Bowman, 23, Gerber was arrested Friday on Johnson and Cedar streets for felony possession of transporta- tion of a controlled sub- stance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for sale and mis- demeanors of possession of marijuana, a probation violation, driving under the influence, driving without a license, para- phernalia and five counts of failure to appear. Bail was $115,000. • John Wayne Capis- trand, 31, Corning was arrested Friday for felony inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. Bail was $50,000. • Craig John Crow, 30, Red Bluff was arrested Thursday on Oak and Madison for felony pos- session of a dirk or dagger and misdemeanor vandal- ism. Bail was $18,000. • Cody Spencer Dennis, 28, Cottonwood was arrested Sunday on the 16000 block of Bass Pass for felony threatening a crime with the intent to terrorize and misdemeanor battery. Bail was $55,000. • Helen Margaret Dil- lon, 26, Red Bluff was arrested Friday on Sale Lane at Antelope Boule- vard on outstanding charges of felony posses- sion of a narcotic and mis- demeanors of second degree burglary, petty theft, three counts of fail- ure to appear, parapherna- lia and being under the influence of a controlled substance. • Damien Dwayne Jones, 24, Red Bluff was arrested Saturday at Northern Lights Gas for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanors of para- phernalia and obstruction. Jones has outstanding charges of felony posses- sion of a controlled sub- stance and misdemeanors of failure to appear and two counts of parapherna- lia. Bail was $21,000. • Paul Eugene Kelley Jr., 43, Red Bluff was arrested Saturday at Sun- shine Food & Gas for misdemeanor driving under the influence. Kel- ley has outstanding charges of felony driving under the influence with priors, driving under the influence causing bodily injury and misdemeanors of a probation violation and driving on a suspend- ed license. Bail was $10,000. • Priscella Jane Lakatos, 24, Burney was arrested Saturday on Jellys Ferry Road for felony vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and pos- session of a controlled substance and misde- meanor paraphernalia. Bail was $48,000. • Steven Lee Love, 60, Chico was arrested Mon- day at Antelope Boulevard and Gurnsey Road for felony person prohibited from owning a firearm. Bail was $15,000. • Jose Chavez Magana also known by the last name Jimenez, 35, Red Bluff was arrested Friday at Gilmore and Mina on outstanding felony charges of transportation of a con- trolled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, fail- ure to appear and misde- meanor false checks. • Christina Marie McMurdo, 54, Redding was arrested Friday on southbound Interstate 5 south of Sourgrass for felony vehicle theft, receiving known stolen property and misdemeanor evading a peace officer. Bail was $31,000. • James Gene Palmer, 43, Corning was arrested Friday on Prunk Street for felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanors of obstruc- tion and paraphernalia. Bail was $21,000. • Mandy Desirree Sefton, 34, Red Bluff was arrested Friday on South Main Street for felony sec- ond degree burglary. Bail was $50,000. • Frank Hubert Webb, 33, Anderson was arrested Saturday on Jellys Ferry Road for felony vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor para- phernalia. Bail was $48,000. • John Charles Weib- ling, 29, Red Bluff was arrested Sunday on South Main Street for misde- meanor paraphernalia. Weibling has outstanding charges of felony posses- sion of a controlled sub- stance and misdemeanors of obstruction and a proba- tion violation. Bail was $28,000. • Jarrett James Wing, 39, Shasta Lake was arrested Monday on out- standing charges of felony possession of a narcotic and misdemeanor willful cruelty to a child. Bail was $10,000. • Dustyn Lee Yancy, 36, Red Bluff was arrested Sunday for felony inflict- ing corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. Bail was $50,000. Burglary • A burglary was report- ed Monday at a storage unit at South Main Mini Storage. A lock was cut and around $600 in tools taken. • A storage unit on the 22000 block of Solar Drive was reportedly bro- ken into. A bicycle, cloth- ing and other items were taken. • A residence on the 24000 block of Richfield Road was reportedly ran- sacked Friday. The sus- pects may have entered through the garage. Found • A Tehama County man reported the theft of tax forms and a .38 revolver from his house. The man eventually found the gun in the house and "after consideration" thought he may have mis- placed the tax paperwork as well. Scam • An 89-year-old man reported he was scammed out of $1,400 by people from Mexico City who presented themselves as lawyers representing his grandson, who allegedly was in custody. Theft • A rear California license plate numbered 5N97477 was reported stolen on the 13000 block of St. Mary's Avenue. • Four tires were report- ed stolen from a front yard on the 18000 block of Tur- nell Road. The loss was estimated at $450. • A homemade utility trailer full of items was reportedly stolen on the 25000 block of Taft Street. Community people & events Police reports Unstuffed cabbage rolls This recipe for unstuffed cabbage rolls is from a Facebook posting. 1 1/2 to 2 pounds, lean ground beef 1 Tablespoon oil 1 large onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 small cabbage, chopped 2 cans (14.5 oz. each) diced tomatoes 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 teaspoon sea salt Heat oil and add ground beef and onion, cook till beef is no longer pink and onion is tender. Add garlic, continue cooking 1 minute. Add cabbage, toma- toes, tomato sauce, water, salt and pepper. Bring to boil, cover and simmer 20 - 30 min- utes, or until cabbage is tender. 6 to 8 servings. Candidate to visit county Thursday Heidi Hall, candidate for Congress for District 1, will be spending the day in Tehama County on Thursday to meet with voters to discuss local issues. Hall declared her candidacy for this Congressional seat more than a year ago and has been actively visiting the Dis- trict's 11 counties to become more familiar with diverse local issues and to share her plans for representing the North State. After filing her Petitions in Lieu of Filing Fees at the County Elections office, she will visit Business Connections and the Job Training Center.
