The doctors opened their busy practice in 1986 to accommodate the medical needs of the many snowbirds who fl ock to Quartzsite each winter. The offi ce typically opened the fi rst Monday in October and closed "when the snakes come out" the end of March or early April. Not only is Dr. O a fabulous diagnostician, he is also a human GPS- he has traveled nearly every road in America and discuss even the smallest intersec- tions with his patients. He loves jokes and his laugh is contagious. Dr. O is an avid reader and he enjoys movies, especially the old ones. Dr. P is a phenomenal seamstress – of skin, that is. One rarely sees a scar after the countless lesions, benign and malignant, she has removed over the years. Her tiny little hands made tiny little stitches which healed perfectly within seven to ten days following the surgery. That initial injection to deaden the surgical site, however, "burn like fi re!" Dr. P also delights in gardening and cooking Thai foods. Her garden fl ourishes with snow peas, ci- lantro, onions, and other goodies. She uses what she grows to create delicious curries, pad Thais, and noodles galore. The doctors plan to spend retire- ment with their family of four children and nine grandchildren and traveling to exotic places. Dr. Soti, the ophthalmologist who Doctors O & P close Valley Medical Center Left to Right: Marcia Hatfi eld, Dr. O, Vickye Davis, Dr. P, Viki Jaggers comes to Valley Medical Center on Thursdays, will also be retiring soon. He will continue seeing patients in Quartzsite until the end of March. The offi ce staff will seek new direc- tions in their lives as well. Viki, from the front desk, plans to go to California to be closer to her family. Vickye, from billing, will divide her time between homes in Arizona and New Mexico, while Marcie hopes to learn how to play after working for 61 years. The doctors and staff wish to thank you for the loyal associations and friendships over the years. If you would like to extend good wishes to the doctors, feel free to send cards and letters to PO Box 1499, Quartzsite, AZ 85346-1499. The may also be contact- ed via email at dr.jutabha@gmail.com.
