The chapter was thrilled that she maintained the chapter Head Chef position and has now welcomed Lucy Sharp into the House Director role. Active members interviewed Lucy to see how her first year is going. What made you want to become the house director? It seemed like a fun, challenging, rewarding opportunity and it has turned out to be exactly that. What was your previous job? I was the executive assistant to the CEO of a not-for-profit in Illinois called Children's Home + Aid for nine years. Previous positions were as office manager, administrative assistant, and project manager. What is the role of being the house director? I manage the house and the staff and make sure everything is running smoothly and safely. I am the adult in the house in case of an emergency and am always available to listen to problems or concerns. I work on behalf of the House Board and the chapter. What is your favorite part of being the House Director? There is never a dull moment! What is your least favorite part of being the house director? Interrupted sleep, but I'm getting better at that. Is there anything you would like to change in the chapter? I would just like to get to know everyone better, which is difficult to do when there are over 145 members. What is the craziest thing that has happened in the house? It's been pretty sane in my opinion. What are your hobbies when you are not working? I love to read, knit, bike ride, and walk, but I never have enough time for all of it. Is there anything else you would like to add? I love being here!
