Hosted by Corey Har- ris and featuring renowned roots musi- cian Guy Davis and Alvin Youngblood Hart, True Blues chronicles the extraordinary living culture of the blues in an evening of music and conversation. Harris is recognized as one of the most inno- vative roots musicians of his generation. With one foot firmly planted in the blues, Harris has celebrated into connec- tions to gospel, early jazz, reggae and West African music. Davis is part soulful troubadour, part show- man, and all blues. A singer, songwriter, gui- tarist and harmonica player who is always ready to put everything he has into his perfor- mances, he has story- telling in his blood. Hart has built a lega- cy that transcends musi- cal genres. Though his first explorations were into the world of roots blues, Hart has cultivat- ed a bold rock & roll side to his music.
