Chamber members are invit- ed to attend and enjoy food, beverages and networking. • Benefit Concert a Success –The benefit concert for Rodger's Theater was a great success Friday night with 280 tickets sold plus donations. The Corning Community Foun- dation would like to thank everyone who attended or gave a donation to the cause. There is a new website that has been set up so that anyone can make a donation to the theater at any time. Go to www.saverodgerstheatre.com. There is a place where you can make a donation on PayPal or you may send a check to the address listed. There is a lot of interest in seeing the theater re-opened, and the foundation is work- ing toward making that happen by the end of the year. If the stage and floor can be completed the theater would be usable for other events. The goal is to have it open at the end of 2014. Let's help make it happen. • Grand Opening – Corning Sweets at 1600 Solano St. will be having its Grand Opening today from noon to 6 p.m.. Ribbon Cutting will be at 5 p.m. • Chamber Members – The Chamber would like to encourage our members to check the information we have for their business on the website, www.corningcachamber. Please take note that the former chamber website is no longer maintained by the chamber. Be sure to include the "ca" for California in the address. If there is any need for updates please let us know. We hope that you will make a habit of using the website regularly for event information, business directory, or to access community information. We are also interested in any ideas for improvement. It is still a work in progress and we want you, our members to be happy with it. Thank you for your input. • Employer Seminar - 7:15 a.m. Feb. 6, Covered Cali- fornia – New Updates will be the topic of the seminar held at the Red Bluff Job Training Center, 724 Main St. There is no cost to TEAC members and only $20 for nonmembers. Baumgartner named Grand Marshall for Round-Up Parade Company supports local third-graders Bell-Carter Foods, Inc. supported Woodson Elementary with a charitable donation of $2,500. This donation was provided to Woodson Elementary's third grade teacher Karen Jones by Wells Fargo Bank on behalf of Jud Carter of Bell-Carter. The educational funds will enable Woodson to incorpo- rate technology into third grade classrooms as a pilot pro- gram using laptop computers – it will be the first in the school. The use of technology will enhance the educational process and facilitate a robust learning environment that expands student engagement. "We are pleased to be a part of the educational growth of our youth," said Jud Carter of Bell-Carter. For more information, visit www.BellCarter.com and www.lindsayolives.com.
