Debt Reduced on Chapter House
Celebrate 100 Years of Pi Chapter
F
all is one of my favorite times of the year. With
a new school year underway and the weather
starting to change, everything feels fresh and colorful.
There is so much anticipation for the coming year.
The House Corporation remodeled the chapter house
kitchen, complete with new tile and paint, a new
ceiling, and a refinished floor. We were thrilled to
share our cheerful new space with our alumnae who
graciously gave their time to help serve refreshments
during recruitment. This year's recruitment was a great
success. We welcomed 45 new sisters to Pi Chapter.
Thank you for submitting recommendation letters and
helping out.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR
The date for Pi Chapter's centennial celebration
has finally been set! We will celebrate 100 years
at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with several
activities in and around Lincoln during the weekend of
November 15, 2014. In addition to a Saturday evening
dinner celebration, there will be several opportunities
for smaller gatherings, as well as an opportunity to
participate in the initiation of our newest pledge class.
If you are interested in helping plan any part of this
event, please do not hesitate to contact me. Our
centennial committee is looking forward to planning a
very special weekend to celebrate the rich history of
Pi Chapter!
WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT
On behalf of the House Corporation, I would like to
thank those alumnae who have supported Pi Chapter
through their donations. With these donations and the
ongoing pledge payments to our capital campaign,
we have reduced the debt on the chapter house from
$1.4 million to $680,000 in just four short years. We'll
continue toward our goal of reducing the debt as much
as possible in time for our centennial celebration in
2014. Thank you, again, for your generous financial
contributions to Pi Chapter. Your support of the
chapter is much appreciated!
