The Crescent Delta Mus Thriving in New Home F all is in full swing at Tri Delta, and it has been an exciting semester thus far. With recruitment, the start of classes, philanthropy events, football, Homecoming, and more, there is never a dull moment at the Tri Delta Chapter House. Chapter Boasts 3.45 G.P.A. I am very pleased to say that Tri Delta's grades were excellent for the spring 2013 semester. Our Chapter earned an overall G.P.A. of 3.45, even better than our 3.41 in fall 2012. We ranked fourth of 18 sororities, improving upon fifth place from the previous semester. One hundred fifty-three Tri Deltas earned a G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher for the semester and 51 of these girls had a 4.0. Academic Development Chairman Rachael Sherrer '11 is extremely proud of the work our members have accomplished, and they have continued to pursue high academic goals this semester. Recording-Breaking Fundraiser We are excited about our philanthropic efforts this year to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We hosted our first Gameday Giveback event at the Chapter House before the Ole Miss game. We raised $14,000, a record for a Delta Mu philanthropy event. This would not have been possible without the hard work of Philanthropy Chairman Elizabeth Hargrove '11, as well as our members, friends, and alumnae who came out and donated to St. Jude! Elizabeth said, "This was Delta Mu's first the new initiates and their families. We had an extremely successful recruitment, and we couldn't be happier to add this group of amazing women to our Delta Mu family. Homecoming was held in early October at the Capstone. Tri Delta was paired with Kappa Alpha, Sigma Delta Tau, and Sigma Lambda Beta. We had a great time participating in the events, such as basketball, bowling, Paint the Town Red, and the dance competition.
