Fall 2013 The Crescent Delta Delta Delta • University of Alabama House Corporation Invites Alumnae to Visit Chapter House W e are excited to share many pictures so you can see for yourself the beautiful home that we have built together! The efforts, generous pledges, time, and in-kind donations of so many have come together to create a real home that makes us all very proud! All this was none too soon because in August we welcomed a record-breaking pledge class of 115 new Deltas. Today the Delta Delta Delta house is home to 66 residents but is also a warm and inviting center to encourage and promote true sisterhood to both actives and alumnae. The house is always full of members studying, eating, sharing, visiting, relaxing in all the spacious and comfortable rooms and the beautiful patio, and connecting with each other as true sisters. Over and over we hear the description "warm and inviting." Enjoy these pictures, but better yet, come visit to fully appreciate what a special place has been created through the love and commitment of so many. We are all especially pleased to see the pride and involvement of the actives as they enthusiastically welcome visitors into the Chapter House. The 66 lucky residents have spent a lot of time and thought creating individualized decorations in each of the sisterhood suites. For all alumnae, we can jealously remember our small cramped rooms and only imagine how special it could be to have this wonderful home as the center of college life! Over the next few months there will be many opportunities to join with actives and alumnae at Tri Delta. For all home games there will be pre-game meals, Founder's Day in November, and the traditional Pine Party in December. This spring, plans include a formal dedication and honoring of all the generous donors during Pansy Breakfast Weekend and our annual House Corporation meeting. Please remember that it is never too late to contribute. The major campaign has ended, but your donations and support are still welcome. If you have made a pledge that is not completed, you will receive payment notices on your schedule. Delta Mu Chapter of Delta Delta Delta remains a leader academically, philanthropically, and socially at the University of Alabama and will always have a special spot in our hearts.
