Be a Part of Alpha Chi's Future T ogether we can meet the challenge we have set. Our investment in the future of Alpha Chi will help ensure the success of the chapter. Today, perhaps more than ever, college sororities play a relevant role in shaping the lives of young women. The Kappa Alpha Theta house provides a living environment that offers security and a sense of community. It is here that the shared values and lasting friendships of Theta sisterhood are cultivated. And it is here that Thetas find a solid foundation from which to pursue academic achievement and develop leadership and social skills. Together with our collegiate members, the alumnae leadership of Alpha Chi is committed to the Centennial Campaign: A Century of Sisterhood. Each of us benefited from the generosity, work and sacrifice of those who went before us. We all enjoyed the comfort and sisterhood Alpha Chi provided during our years at Purdue. Now it is our turn to support Alpha Chi and protect the home that will provide the same wonderful experience to others. Gift Structure Because of the magnitude of our objectives, we urge all alumnae to consider major gifts to the campaign. In order for each alumna to maximize her participation, gifts can be structured over a two- to five-year period. However, we encourage donors to frontload gifts if possible since our priority is to pay down the mortgage in 2015. Gifts in honor or in memory of other Thetas are welcome, as well as family and pledge class gifts. Donor Recognition Each of us, simply by our presence, has contributed to the history of Alpha Chi. How appropriate then that each of our names be entered into its halls. Each donor who contributes $2,500 or more will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque. All donors contributing to the campaign will be recognized in campaign publications, unless otherwise requested. Non-Tax-Deductible Gifts Needed Much of the project is deemed non-educational per IRS regulations or restrictions. This means there is a great need for non-tax-deductible gifts to retire the debt and complete the renovation projects as envisioned. Continuing the Tradition With your support, Kappa Alpha Theta will remain one of the leading sororities on Purdue's campus, providing a quality living environment that supports, nurtures and develops outstanding young women with the leadership, skills and confidence to face an ever-changing world. The commitment we make today cannot be underestimated—it will affect the lives of future Alpha Chi sisters for years to come.
