Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity
Alpha Chi Chapter
607 Russell Street
West Lafayette, IN 47906
Dear Facility Corporation Board of the Alpha Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity:
I want to offer my sincere congratulations to you on your decision to move forward with
fundraising efforts to reduce the outstanding debt on your property and to renovate your
chapter house at 607 Russell Street. For nearly l00 years, the administration of Purdue
University has appreciated the leadership your undergraduates have provided. Your alumnae
occupy key academic, business, professional, and political positions throughout Indiana and
the nation. Many have been staunch supporters of Purdue as well.
The fraternity and sorority community at Purdue University is alive and well. Many chapters
are planning or carrying out renovations of their facilities. We know that often this results
in improved safety features and enhanced technology capabilities which benefit hundreds of
our Purdue students. Obviously, these projects can only happen with support from understanding and generous alumnae. Your decision to provide an excellent living and social environment, as well as first-rate study and meeting accommodations, will enhance the overall
university experience both for your undergraduates and for others who come to 607 Russell
for study groups and team meetings.
Fraternity and sorority alumni remain loyal to their alma mater, helping to support future
generations of leaders and providing an enduring legacy. I join the Purdue community in
wishing Kappa Alpha Theta, its undergraduates and its alumnae great success in your efforts
during your campaign and in the years to come.
Sincerely,
Mitchell E. Daniels Jr.
President
