Schwalje '96 CHUCK TOEDTMAN '65 MAKES GIFT TO HELP FUTURE ALPHA-DELTA ZETA MEMBERS F Alpha-Delta Zeta Experience Leads to a Career Success or Chuck Toedtman '65, being in Alpha-Delta Zeta played an instrumental role in his life. "I joined the Chapter because, at the time, Lambda Chi Alpha was the best Fraternity on campus and I liked the brothers I had met," Chuck said. "It was good to be a member of a Fraternity that was so involved with the school and provided a great leadership experience." After graduating with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering, Chuck began his career working in a variety of managerial roles for Anheuser-Busch. He has since retired, but looking back on the beginning of his career he sees what a difference his Alpha-Delta Zeta experience made. "The Fraternity taught me to work with other individuals to accomplish goals and helped me achieve leadership positions in several campus organizations. From this I learned responsibility and basic management. The recruitment process gave me a small view of how to interview for companies." Chuck was inspired to give to the campaign because of what the Fraternity did for him. "Alpha-Delta Zeta did more for me than I will ever be able to do for the Chapter. It made me the person I am today. Without that experience, God only knows what I would have done in life. To be competitive in recruitment, Lambda Chi needs an upgraded facility. The lessons I learned while living at ADZ allowed me to accumulate a small amount of resources, and I thought I should give back what I could," he said. "To our alumni, I would ask them to think about what Alpha-Delta Zeta did to better their lives, and then think about what you can do to help the chapter and the men who will come to ADZ in the future." Chuck lives in Des Peres, Missouri, with his fiancée, Mary. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and taking care of his Corvette collection. You can contact Chuck at chuckeyt@aol.com.
