High school and college graduations, family vacations, weddings, and beach days with friends filled our calendars. This summer, our diligent House Corporation got much accomplished at the California Gamma Chapter House and it has never looked so good! As soon as the live-ins moved out in May we got BUSY! As I mentioned in my past messages, our 40-year-old house needs continuous upkeep, so we undertake quite a few maintenance and repair projects during the summer. We replaced an air-conditioning unit, retrofitted the roof, replaced the roof on the two side balconies, rewired some of the electrical system, and did plumbing maintenance. These are not glamorous projects, yet they are necessary to keep the house safe for our Chapter members. to accommodate om was expanded ed funds for third-floor rec ro The umnae contribut for meetings. Thank you to all who have purchased a brick. Please come by the house and see them on the back wall of the patio. This is a perpetual fundraiser created to reach all California Gammas that would like to participate. If you haven't done so already, it's not too late! Our Chapter has succeeded quota each year at recruitment. We have so many amazing women in our house. This summer, we built out the sun deck on the third floor and extended the recreation room with a built-in solarium. It brings much light into the room and allows Chapter meetings to be held there comfortably. We replaced the sisal carpet on the foyer staircases and the living room. The ladies are thrilled with our choice. The sisal had become a safety hazard on the stairs and the members like to sit on the new carpet. It's a good thing! New carpeting on one of the front staircases. I hope the fall finds you ready for a new season of family memories, USC football, and getting together with your Pi Phi sisters. Make time!
